Preeminent Resort & Entertainment Brand #BALLYS has partnered with Osage River Gaming to tackle an Initiative Petition that would allow Missourians to vote on amending the MO Constitution to allow a 14th State license in the #cityoflakeozark. Lake Ozark has lost over 10 motels in the past 15 years, reinvestment in the hospitality industry is not a want, it’s a NEED! A need that will balance the disproportionate residential development that has occurred over the same time period. Year round employment opportunities and much needed revenue are a must if we want our infrastructure to match our flanking communities. Tax increases would not be necessary with the revenue generated from a licensed Casino. Growth is painful, however if managed properly by leaders that pain will be short lived and our town will be much stronger and sustainable going forward. Our board of Alderman unanimously supported this initiative as we all want to reclaim our once prominent position as Missouri’s leading tourist destination!
